Holiday Generosity

How can you be a blessing to others this season?

The holidays lend themselves to a perfect opportunity to be generous to others. Each year we offer resources to families looking for ways to bless others this holiday season.

Check out a few of these suggestions with great organizations and some of our ministry partners. Choose one or two that might interest you or we encourage you to bless wherever God has called you.

Thanksgiving Meals

Begins October 25 | Ends November 23

For 27 years, RiverTree has partnered with several local churches to serve together and make an impact in Stark County by providing Thanksgiving meals to those in need.

This year looks a lot different due to the pandemic. We have an opportunity to still contribute with food donations of pies, cookies and most of all financial contributions to provide meals for families.

Operation Christmas Child

Begins October 25 | Return by November 15

We partner annually with Operation Christmas Child (OCC) to bring joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world.

This program provides an opportunity for everyone to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ, God’s greatest gift.

Learn more during weekend services now through mid-November.

Additional ways to participate:

SUPPLY DRIVE-IN – Monday, November 2 from 6:30-7:30PM. We’re partnering with SENT and High School students will be passing out empty OCC boxes outside the West side doors. Drive up and receive your shoebox supplies in your car!
TREEHOUSE KIDZ PACKING PARTY – Sunday, November 8 / 9.15AM in the Family Room. Join us during this service time to pack boxes. Questions? Email Mandy at

Begins November 29 | Return Gifts by December 13

This annual Christmas project with Stark County Department of Job & Family Services provides gifts and clothing to children who otherwise might not receive anything at Christmas. Donors are provided gender, age-range of child and a list of gift ideas to fill a stocking.

Financial donations are also needed to provide gift certificates for teenagers, emergency gifts, and for those children who were not adopted for Christmas.

Donate non-perishable food items at the Welcome Center, or give via check to RiverTree, memo line Food Pantry.
